Dr. Walla Altahir is a highly skilled and accomplished General Practitioner with over five years of experience in providing exceptional care across a diverse range of health conditions.
She has gained valuable expertise in caring for ventilated patients, tracheostomy care, and those with PEG tubes, ensuring optimal treatment and progress monitoring.
As a team leader, she takes an active role in guiding patient care plans, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and contributing to continuous professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest medical advancements.
Before her tenure at Burjeel Medical City, Dr. Altahir worked as a General Practitioner specializing in internal medicine, managing patients with a variety of medical conditions and performed minor surgical procedures, including suturing wounds and conducting biopsies. She also completed her internship at the Federal Ministry of Health in Khartoum, Sudan, where she gained invaluable experience through rotations in Obstetrics & Gynecology, Medicine, General Surgery, and Pediatrics. This diverse experience allowed her to further develop her diagnostic and treatment skills while managing a broad spectrum of patient needs.
Dr. Altahir holds an MBBS degree from Nile Valley University in Khartoum, Sudan, and has earned several key certifications, including BLS, ATLS, ACLS, and PALS in 2023. She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) and holds full registration with the Sudan Medical Council.
