Dr. Farrukh Tasnim Shah is a highly accomplished Consultant Hematologist with over two decades of experience in general hematology and haemoglobinopathies, specializing in thalassemia and sickle cell disease. Her expertise extends to managing a wide range of hematological conditions, including anemias, autoimmune disorders, thrombotic and bleeding disorders, myeloproliferative conditions, and hematological malignancies. Additionally, she is a skilled hematopathology’s with extensive experience in laboratory diagnostics and service operations. A distinguished clinical leader, Dr. Shah has played a pivotal role in transforming patient care pathways through innovative research, policy development, and national healthcare contributions. She has been instrumental in shaping guidelines, leading research initiatives, and advocating for improved patient management strategies at national and international levels. Recognized for her outstanding contributions to the field, Dr. Shah was awarded the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in 2023 for her exceptional services to patients with sickle cell disease and thalassemia.
