Dr. M. Taher Shabani-Radn, MD, FRCPC, DABP, is an accomplished Anatomical Pathologist at Burjeel Medical City. He is a distinguished Clinical Professor of Pathology with expertise in Hematology and Hematopathology. With over two decades of academic and clinical experience, Dr. Shabani-Rad has played pivotal roles in advancing laboratory medicine and pathology services. He is Board Certified in Hematopathology and Anatomical Pathology in both Canada and the United States and holds a Fellowship in Hematological Pathology. His dedication to innovation is reflected in his leadership of numerous provincial and national projects, including groundbreaking advancements in diagnostic pathways, transfusion medicine, and genomic testing.
As a recognized leader in hematopathology, Dr. Shabani-Rad has served as Provincial Clinical Section Chief and Clinical Section Chief for Hematology and Hematopathology. He has contributed to the development of robust systems for blood utilization, workload measurements, and immune deficiency diagnostics. His efforts have streamlined healthcare operations, enhanced diagnostic precision, and set benchmarks for excellence in patient care.
