Dr. Ryad Bassam Alasas

Dr. Ryad Alasas was born in Damascus, Syria, where he completed his medical education at Damascus University, graduating from the Faculty of Medicine. He undertook his residency at the Ministry of Higher Education Hospitals in Damascus. From 2012 to 2014, he received specialized training in internal medicine, emergency care, and intensive care units at Al-Assad and Al-Mouasat University Hospitals. Subsequently, he pursued further training in medical oncology at Al-Bairouni University Hospital from 2014 to 2016. In 2016, he earned the Syrian Board in Medical Oncology, followed by a Master’s Degree in the same field in 2018. With seven years of experience in treating cancer patients, Dr. Ryad has developed a particular focus on breast, prostate, and colon cancers. He possesses substantial expertise in managing oncologic emergencies, formulating diagnostic assessments, and establishing treatment protocols, particularly for first and second-line chemotherapy.
